WulfPack™ COMPUTER CLUSTERS
WulfPack™ Computer Clusters provide the computational muscle for the most demanding signal and image processing algorithms. These high performance computer systems are designed for the challenging field environments associated with military aircraft and remote ground
installations.
Urban Robotics’ cluster management software seamlessly handles core load balancing for both streaming and batched based processing. Additional modules handle data distribution, health monitoring, load balancing, and job dependency/scheduling tasks. Whether tracking
moving cars in video streams, analyzing multiple SIGINT streams, or calculating Pi to 1 million digits, the WulfPack™ Computer cluster is a self contained rapidly deployable hardware platform for both aircraft and field installations.
At the center of the WulfPack™ Computer Cluster is the Urban Robotics WulfPack™ unit. This custom rackmounted computer is a 2U system, consisting of (8) Intel processor cores, 8 Gigabytes of memory, flash booted Embedded Windows XP, and 4x1 Gigabit Ethernet connections.
Having been deployed in theaters of active operations, the WulfPack™ Computer Cluster has proven its field readiness and durability. The system is now in its third generation of design.
Attributes Include:
- Extreme Low Power
Typical 34 core configurations operate at 1 kilowatt; it is ideal for aircraft 28VDC power
- Ruggedized
Critical software components installed in industrial flash memory; hard drives are automotive grade
