HOMELAND SECURITY and FEDERAL AGENCIES
Given Urban Robotics’ experience providing Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) products and services to the U.S. Department of Defense, many of the associated technologies have been adapted for use in Homeland
Security applications.
For instance, Urban Robotics PeARL™ systems have been used by the U.S. Border Patrol for providing fast turnaround maps for reconnaissance use. Collected PeARL imagery has also been used by DHS agencies for high resolution site
surveys of important national assets. Additionally, PeARL™ imagery was collected for FEMA in support of hurricane relief efforts.
Of particular value for Homeland Defense and other Federal Agencies is Urban Robotics’ ability to collect imagery of large areas at high resolution and have seamless, mosaiced map data available in Google Earth™ within hours or
faster. This fast turnaround ability is ideal for supporting national emergencies and response coordination. Advanced Urban Robotics TerraFlash™ algorithms for FLIR mosaicing and terrain modeling also allow for advanced ISR
applications. Lastly, WulfPack™ aerial computer clusters are the ideal platform for real-time analysis of aerial sensor data, such as responding to CBRN events with collected sensor data.
Besides our existing products, we offer our engineering services on a time and materials basis. We possess a talented engineering team that can address the most challenging DHS applications and requirements. We specialize and thrive
in creating advanced algorithms that require significant computational muscle, but can still be rapidly installed for immediate use. Urban Robotics has a competitive cost structure and existing contract vehicles in place for
government funding.
